On June 16th 2015, Max and our family got the diagnosis of type 1 diabetes. Having knew nothing about this disease our lives were turned upside down.
Max's life now consisted of 4 injections a day and several finger pricks to check his blood sugar levels. Daily school runs to give him his lunch time injection and learning all about food and carb counting and how it can affect Max's levels.
Max's 1 year anniversary is fast approaching and although we do not celebrate diabetes, we celebrate the journey it has taken us on, the ups and downs, highs and lows and the changes it has had on him. We celebrate Max's braveness in the past year and celebrate the support Max's family and friends have given us.
Please help us raise donations to a cause so close to our hearts and hope that one day we can say 'Max used to have type 1 diabetes'.
